Pennie Clayton: Canine Behaviour and Training, Canine Bowen Therapist.

(Cert.ECBS / ESEBT/ Full member of PDTE/ Principal of the School of Canine Bowen Therapy)

Pennie Clayton initially trained as a riding instructor and qualified with the British Horse Society as an Intermediate instructor. Since then she became interested in the dogs she lived with, and started studying dog behaviour. She then started to integrate dog behaviour and training into her work.

After this point she also trained as a Bowen therapist for humans, horses and dogs, and went onto to found the School of Canine Bowen Therapy with her colleague Maddy Freeman. The School not only covers Bowen and how to introduce this gentle therapy to dogs, but the course covers wellbeing and how important it is to introduce owners into making the right choices for their dogs.

Rescue dogs, especially ex- racing greyhounds, are very close to her heart.  She has shared her life with rescue lurchers and greyhounds, all of which have been very special, and taught her so much.   She, in turn, has learnt how to read their body language, has studied nutrition, and techniques to enhance their lives.

Pennie is a full member of the Pet Dog Trainers of Europe as well as has recently started a project called Enhancing the Life of Your Hound which runs educational days and seminars which raises awareness of dogs needs and raises money for local dog rescues.
